To get what you want you have to ask. This is how the business world works. The trick is to ask in the right way, according to the situation, the matter of what you're asking, the person who you are asking, the emergency of the matter, etc.
Pitching the idea, desire or need can be very tricky. For those who are not naturally good at this, pitching an idea can be a bumpy experience.
Four tips from this morning's article on LinkedIn:
1. Get to know your target
create a list of who you want to contact
scour internet to learn about your 'targets'
2. Spark a conversation
it is scientifically proven that people love talking about themselves. Using the info from research, hone in on this ask them about themselves and get them to talk..
try to build solid and mutually beneficial relationship by discovering their need (through onilne research)
do not try to sell them on something, they will know that you are trying to do that
3. Insert an objective
declare and objective, call for action or request -- your 'target' will act on this
4. Prepare to answer "So what?"
you must prepare the answer to this question, show how your request, call for action or declaration can be beneficial for them
These 4 steps will help you to get in someone's radar.

Hello to everyone out there who's genuinely interested in deciphering the mystery of fashion!
In the near future I'll be posting articles and texts on this blog of my own findings pertaining to the topic: "deciphering the mystery of fashion". As many of you may know, fashion has many dimensions. It encompasses art, business, history, various social sciences.
I want to share with everyone my passion and my pursuit of understanding, defining, interpreting and romancing fashion.
Over the years I've amassed a considerable amount of material related to the topic (fashion illustrated books, magazines, text books, etc.)
Now I want to post some of the articles of interest, talk about them expressing my own ideas and thoughts on a given article and inviting you to do the same.
All inputs are welcomed, as long as you have a constructive though and a point of view.
I really hope that my blog will encourage you to share your thoughts, ideas, knowledge and findings on the topic and get a better idea of what fashion is, answering to yourself what it consists of, where it is at in its development, where it is headed, it's history and its outlook...
